COLUMBIA -- Although William Woods was missing Landon Dunlap, the Owls dominated the Larry Young Invitational on Friday night.
WWU's top four finishers recorded a new personal best, with Jenson Starr's 25-minute, 46.21-second finish coming as part of the second lead pack of the 128-man field.
Woods was the top NAIA finisher in a field with NCAA Division II runners, finishing behind D-II squads Huntington and Missouri S&T.
Ian Schwierjohn and Blaine Broderson set new personal marks, claiming top-2o finishes in the field.
Broderson's mark was the most significant jump among the Owls, as he trimmed 34 seconds from his previous best, just edging Kyle Hagemeyer's 30-second improvement.
The Owls return to Gans Creek in under two weeks, with a 9 a.m. start in the Gans Creek Invitational hosted by Mizzou.
