The Brick District is planning a Holiday Open House on November 3 at 4pm.

This event is made possible by the people involved with the Brick District, along with local store owners and members of the community.

Amanda Long, marketing representative of the Brick District, said this event will mark the beginning of the holiday season.

"This event is meant to kick off the holiday season, giving an opportunity for people to visit all the local businesses," Long said.

The event is meant to give exposure to local businesses in the community, with many local businesses expected to have shopping deals.

"This year, we are excited to bring back carriage rides to the event, which will be five dollars a person for a round trip of the Brick District," Long said

The carriage rides will be provided by Cedar Hollow Farms. The carriage rides will take people to the Fulton Depot, which will have a separate holiday market.

Along with this, there will be numerous other festivities held at this event.

"Participating businesses will decorate their windows, participating in a window-decorating contest, along with shopping at the local businesses, with refreshments being provided," said Long.

There will also be live holiday music and a raffle that gives attendees a chance to win one of eight Brick District gift cards.

Santa will be at the event for pictures.

"This is an amazing way to kick-off the holiday season, along with bringing the community together into the Brick District," Long said.

She added that all of the Brick District business owners were "vital when making this event possible."
