William Woods University's Rotaract Club, affiliated with the Rotary Club of Fulton, recently completed two community service projects.

The club was established at WWU in 2016.

To prepare for Veterans Day, on Thursday members of Rotaract wrote notes to veterans to thank them for their service.

The notes were delivered to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, a release states.

Before that community service project, the club members read to three kindergarten classes at Bush Elementary School two weeks ago. The classes were taught by Whitney Eastwood, Kylie Lane and Sarah Kasubke.

Basic education and literacy is one of Rotary's seven areas of focus, a release states.

Rotaract club is described as "a global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges."

The WWU sponsor of Rotaract is Haley Gilmore, WWU event management and conference coordinator and Fulton Rotarian.
