The Callaway Chamber of Commerce will host the Show-Me Innovation Pitch Competition and Show-Me Innovation Teen Pitch Competition on Thursday.

The pitch competition allows entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas for a chance to receive prize money.

Participants in the contest will present their business pitch to a panel of judges.

The competition will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Aldridge Center at William Woods University.

Both competitions will take place simultaneously. 10 participants will compete between both competitions.

The participants have been coached by Brianna Kliethermes, small business liaison with the Callaway Chamber of Commerce.

Over the past several weeks, the participants have worked with Kliethermes to "solidify their business model and prepare their pitch," a Chamber release states.

After all the participants present their pitches to the panel of judges, they will deliberate for 30 minutes to decide winners.

Two winners from each competition will be selected to received funding and a prize package.

The award ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.

The event is open to the community.
