Tuesday's cold weather didn't stop local trick-or-treaters from filling the Brick District for the annual Trick-or-Treat on the Bricks.
This year's event was expanded to include the Old Callaway County Courthouse. Trick-or-treaters began at the corner of 5th and Court, then followed monster footprints on the ground up Nichols Street, across 6th Street and down Court Street. The route ended at the Cornerstone Building on 6th and Court.
Candy bags were handed out -- provided by the Brick District -- at the Courthouse.
Stations handing out candy were along the entire route throughout the Brick District.
The Brick District also hosted the second annual Boo the Block pumpkin decorating contest. Contestants dropped off their pumpkins at Smith Moore, and they were then displayed in the Courthouse lawn.
A panel of judges reviewed the pumpkins for the categories of best painted, best carved, most creative and spookiest. The winner of each category received a $50 Brick District gift card.
