Fulton Depot to host Spring Open House

The Fulton Depot is set to host an event to celebrate National Train Day and Historic Preservation Month on May 13.

The Fulton Depot -- located at 1005 East Walnut Street in Fulton -- will take Callawegians back in time at the historic 1911 building with a Spring Open House. A variety of railroad exhibits and activities will be available, including a digital train simulation, handcrafted model train exhibits, and railroad artifacts and presentations.

Information and handouts will be will be provided by the Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad (GM&O) and the Wabash Railroad Historical Society.

Artisan macarons will be available for sale for Mother's Day, a release states. The proceeds raised from the macaron sales will go towards the Fulton Deport restoration effort.

In addition to macarons, the Smokin' Pickle food truck will be at the event serving food. Homewares, the store next to the Fulton Depot, will also have a sidewalk sale during the Spring Open House.

The event will begin on May 13 at 10 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The open house is hosted by Grae Studio, a full service interior design studio and retailed located in Fulton. The business is owned by Crystal Aulbur.
